Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using X-ray equipment, metal detectors, and advanced imaging technology.
- Conduct thorough pat-downs and physical searches of individuals and property when necessary.
- Identify and report potential threats or security violations immediately.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and communicate effectively with passengers of all backgrounds.
- Adhere to all TSA security directives and operational procedures.
- Work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and nights, to ensure 24/7 airport coverage.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).
- Must be able to pass a federal background check, drug screen, and medical assessment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical activities such as bending, lifting, and pat-downs.
- Excellent vision (with or without correction) and the ability to read X-ray screens.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
