Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and advanced imaging technology to screen carry-on and checked baggage for prohibited items.
- Conduct effective pat-downs and physical inspections of passengers when required by screening protocols.
- Interact professionally and courteously with travelers while enforcing security regulations and procedures.
- Identify potential threats, explosives, or hazardous materials within passenger screening areas.
- Document screening activities accurately and report any security incidents or anomalies immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment in screening lanes and checkpoint areas.
- Adhere to strict TSA security policies, safety standards, and operational procedures at all times.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to pass a federal background check and drug screen.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods (up to 10 hours per day).
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Transportation Security Officer (TSO) credential.
