Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access points, verifying the identity of visitors and employees against approved lists.
- Patrol assigned interior and exterior areas of government facilities to deter unauthorized activity and ensure safety.
- Respond immediately to alarms, fire triggers, medical emergencies, and security breaches.
- Prepare and submit detailed incident reports and logs using government-approved software systems.
- Enforce strict adherence to all federal security protocols, policies, and emergency procedures.
- Conduct security sweeps of offices and storage areas to identify potential hazards or discrepancies.
- Assist in the training of new security personnel and mentor junior officers.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record is mandatory.
- Previous experience in law enforcement, military, or private security is highly preferred.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting purposes.
- Physically fit to perform patrol duties, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
