Responsibilities
- Patrol and Monitoring: Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of assigned government facilities to ensure the safety and security of all personnel and visitors.
- Access Control: Verify the identity of individuals entering secured government buildings and manage access points strictly according to protocols.
- Incident Reporting: Document all incidents, irregularities, and emergencies accurately in the logbook or digital reporting system.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to alarms, fire emergencies, medical incidents, or security breaches in accordance with established emergency procedures.
- Customer Service: Provide a welcoming and professional demeanor to the public while enforcing security regulations courteously.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is highly preferred.
- License: Must possess and maintain a valid Massachusetts Security Officer License (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
- Background Check: Must pass a thorough background investigation, including criminal history and drug screening.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
