Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to cybersecurity threats across federal networks using SIEM tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Develop and implement security policies compliant with NIST and FISMA standards
- Lead incident response teams during security breaches and cyber emergencies
- Train federal employees on security best practices and threat awareness
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies on cybercrime investigations
- Stay current with emerging threats and defensive technologies
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (must obtain Top Secret within 6 months)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 5+ years experience in network security and threat analysis
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent
- Expert knowledge of Windows/Linux systems and network architectures
- Experience with Splunk, CrowdStrike, or similar security platforms
- Ability to obtain and maintain federal security clearance
- U.S. citizenship required
