Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network traffic for security vulnerabilities and cyber threats
- Implement and maintain advanced cybersecurity protocols across federal systems
- Conduct incident response and forensic investigations for security breaches
- Develop risk mitigation strategies for critical infrastructure protection
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to enhance national security posture
- Stay current with emerging cyber threats and defensive technologies
- Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, FISMA)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Security+ CE certification required; CISSP or GIAC preferred
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on cybersecurity experience
- Expertise in network security tools (SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Familiarity with federal compliance requirements and security protocols
- Strong analytical skills with ability to detect sophisticated attack patterns
- Active U.S. government security clearance eligibility required
