Responsibilities
- Manage and administer federal pension plans for veterans and eligible beneficiaries
- Review and process retirement applications with 100% accuracy
- Advise clients on pension regulations, distribution options, and survivor benefits
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure regulatory compliance
- Develop training materials for staff on pension policy updates
- Conduct audits of pension accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Represent the department in stakeholder meetings regarding pension programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in pension administration or federal benefits
- Proficiency with federal regulations (ERISA, TSP, CSRS)
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) designation preferred
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
- Strong communication skills for client interactions
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
- Experience with federal HR systems (e.g., NSPS, HRS)
