Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain federal IT security protocols across classified systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on government networks
- Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents within SLA requirements
- Develop incident response plans and conduct disaster recovery drills
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and other federal security standards
- Train federal personnel on security best practices and threat awareness
- Collaborate with DHS leadership on security strategy and policy development
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (Top Secret preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in federal IT security roles
- CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Expert knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 and FISMA compliance frameworks
- Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight) and vulnerability scanners
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
