Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure IT systems supporting veteran healthcare operations
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives to protect sensitive veteran data against evolving threats
- Coordinate with federal stakeholders on IT infrastructure modernization projects
- Provide technical guidance for legacy system transitions to cloud-based platforms
- Ensure compliance with federal IT security protocols and FISMA standards
- Manage vendor relationships and third-party service integrations
- Develop disaster recovery plans and business continuity protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of progressive IT infrastructure experience in federal/government environments
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain Secret clearance within 30 days)
- Expertise in cloud technologies (AWS/Azure) and federal compliance frameworks
- Strong project management skills with PMP or similar certification preferred
- Proficiency in network security, system hardening, and incident response
- Demonstrated experience with ITIL and COBIT methodologies
