Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network traffic to detect and mitigate potential cyber threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses.
- Implement and maintain security protocols, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Manage user access controls and ensure adherence to the Zero Trust security model.
- Document security incidents, root causes, and remediation steps in compliance with federal regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy secure cloud architectures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance is required.
- 5+ years of experience in federal government or defense contracting environments.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, and cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or GSEC.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a high-pressure, mission-critical environment.
