Responsibilities
- Process and review incoming federal and state government documents for accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain and update official public records and databases using internal government systems.
- Communicate effectively with constituents, agency officials, and internal staff regarding inquiries and requirements.
- Prepare and distribute routine reports, memos, and correspondence under tight deadlines.
- Assist in the preparation of materials for audits, inspections, and inter-agency meetings.
- Perform data entry tasks ensuring strict adherence to confidentiality and security protocols.
- Support the department head with scheduling, filing, and general administrative support.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required; an Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in an administrative, clerical, or government office environment is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and government-specific software.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in data and documentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and obtain necessary security clearance (if applicable).
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
