Responsibilities
- Manage and process incoming government documents, applications, and permits with a high degree of accuracy.
- Assist the Public Works management team with daily operations, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Conduct research and compile data for municipal reports, budget proposals, and public outreach initiatives.
- Respond to citizen inquiries via phone, email, and in-person visits, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Maintain and update confidential government records and filing systems in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Coordinate inter-departmental meetings and prepare detailed meeting minutes and action items.
- Assist in the implementation of new city-wide policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in government, public administration, or administrative support roles.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for a Georgia government security clearance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and government database management software.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive information with complete confidentiality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evening meetings, as required by department needs.
