Responsibilities
- Sort and Process Mail: Efficiently sort incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and parcels according to address and route.
- Vehicle Operation: Safely operate USPS vehicles, including trucks and delivery vans, in all weather conditions.
- Physical Handling: Lift, carry, and load packages weighing up to 70 lbs repeatedly to ensure timely delivery.
- Route Management: Follow established delivery routes and schedules to ensure all mail is delivered accurately and on time.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers at the counter and on the delivery route, resolving inquiries and complaints.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks on equipment and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- License: Valid driver's license required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects for extended periods.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
