Responsibilities
- Lead multi-agency emergency response coordination during public health crises (e.g., disease outbreaks, natural disasters)
- Develop and maintain emergency preparedness protocols aligned with CDC/FEMA guidelines
- Conduct risk assessments and resource allocation for public health emergencies
- Train public health staff and community partners on emergency response procedures
- Prepare and submit federal/state compliance reports with strict deadlines
- Manage data-driven incident reporting and public communication systems
- Coordinate with Boston's Emergency Operations Center (EOC) for unified response efforts
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in public health emergency response coordination
- Active certification in Incident Command System (ICS-300) or higher
- Proven track record of managing multi-agency collaborations during crises
- Expertise in public health data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Epi-Info, ESRI)
- Ability to work 24/7 on-call rotations during emergency activations
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
