Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of food establishments, childcare centers, and public pools
- Investigate public health complaints and disease outbreaks
- Enforce state and local health regulations through violation notices
- Develop corrective action plans for non-compliant facilities
- Collect environmental samples for laboratory analysis
- Provide public education on health safety standards

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health or related field
- Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS) certification
- Minimum 2 years public health inspection experience
- Valid California driver's license
- Strong knowledge of CA Health & Safety Code
- Excellent written communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends
- Certification in food safety (e.g., CP-FS)
