Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of government networks and systems.
- Monitor security alerts and incident response activities to mitigate cyber threats in real-time.
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and other relevant government security frameworks.
- Develop and implement robust security policies and procedures to protect organizational assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into software development and IT operations.
- Provide expert guidance on security architecture and infrastructure design.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent military/government experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, or network security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing technical reports.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
