Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents and alerts in real-time.
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal systems.
- Develop and implement robust security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integrity and availability of data systems.
- Manage security configurations for firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems.
- Provide expert consultation on risk management strategies and remediation plans.
- Prepare detailed reports on security posture and incident trends for senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret security clearance (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity analysis within a federal or defense environment.
- Certification required: CISSP, GSEC, or equivalent (e.g., Security+ for entry-level equivalent).
- Deep knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and attack vectors.
- Experience with NIST frameworks, CUI compliance, and federal regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment.
