Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of government projects from conception to final delivery, ensuring alignment with county strategic goals.
- Manage complex budgets, track expenditures, and ensure full compliance with federal and state regulatory standards.
- Facilitate clear communication between stakeholders, government officials, and the public to ensure transparency and project buy-in.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on schedule and within scope.
- Oversee the coordination of cross-functional teams, including contractors, vendors, and internal staff.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior leadership and oversight committees.
- Maintain accurate documentation of project milestones, deliverables, and compliance records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in government project management or a related public sector role.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects with significant budgets.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state procurement laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana) and government ERP systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively with diverse audiences.
