Role Overview
As a Senior IT Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for the planning, implementation, administration, and support of our organization's computer hardware and software systems. Responsibilities
- Manage and administer Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and network infrastructure.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive government data.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex hardware and software issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy IT solutions that drive organizational efficiency.
- Conduct regular system backups, disaster recovery planning, and performance tuning.
- Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance on best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems administration, preferably within a government or federal contracting environment.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work flexible hours and be on-call for critical system outages.
