Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of complex IT systems and software applications for state agencies.
- Conduct thorough system requirements analysis to ensure alignment with New York State IT standards and security protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and government stakeholders, to deliver scalable solutions.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical issues to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
- Ensure all technical documentation and architectural diagrams are up-to-date and compliant with federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems analysis, preferably within a government or large enterprise environment.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and modern scripting languages.
- Deep understanding of ITIL frameworks and government data security standards (NIST/FISMA).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
