Location: Nashville, TN (Hybrid/On-site based on project needs).
Responsibilities
- Project Management: Lead and execute IT projects from conception to deployment, ensuring alignment with state and federal regulations.
- Cybersecurity: Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive government data against cyber threats and ensure compliance with FedRAMP standards.
- Infrastructure Support: Manage network architecture, server maintenance, and cloud integration (AWS/Azure) for state agencies.
- Technical Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including system diagrams and standard operating procedures.
- Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with external vendors to procure technology solutions and manage service level agreements (SLAs).
- Compliance Auditing: Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to Tennessee state IT policies and budgetary constraints.
- Training & Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff members and government stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent military/government experience).
- Certifications: Active CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or PMP certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management, systems analysis, or software development within the public sector or a comparable complex environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, Java, SQL, and experience with large-scale database management systems (Oracle, SQL Server).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of resolving critical system failures and optimizing workflows.
- Licensure: Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to pass a thorough background check.
