Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate records of government documents and personnel files with strict adherence to confidentiality protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service to constituents, citizens, and visiting officials via phone, email, and in-person inquiries.
- Assist in the preparation and processing of government applications, permits, and official correspondence.
- Perform data entry and document digitization using internal government software systems.
- Coordinate schedules and appointments for department leadership and external stakeholders.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace and office equipment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Public Administration or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an administrative or clerical role within a government, legal, or corporate environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and government-specific database systems.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to verify data accuracy under time pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and security clearance as required for government positions.
