Responsibilities
- Execute infrastructure maintenance including road repairs, drainage systems, and park facilities
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, graders, compactors) with precision and safety
- Perform manual labor including excavation, material handling, and site cleanup
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and municipal construction standards
- Assist in traffic control and public safety during project execution
- Document work progress and maintain equipment logs
- Collaborate with engineering teams on project specifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Minimum 1 year experience in civil construction or public works
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment troubleshooting
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
