Responsibilities
- Lead Technical Projects: Spearhead the planning, execution, and deployment of large-scale IT infrastructure and software development projects.
- Ensure Cybersecurity: Implement and monitor advanced security protocols to safeguard state data and protect against cyber threats.
- System Optimization: Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize existing systems to improve efficiency, performance, and user experience.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to ensure the delivery of high-quality technical solutions.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all technical operations adhere to federal, state, and local regulations and industry standards.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior staff, conduct code reviews, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (Master's degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in information technology, systems analysis, or software engineering.
- Certifications: Active certifications such as CISSP, PMP, or AWS Solutions Architect are highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages (Java, Python, C#), database management (SQL), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Government Experience: Previous experience working within a state or federal government environment is a strong plus.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and government officials.
