Responsibilities
- Sort and Process Mail: Efficiently sort mail and packages by size and type to ensure timely delivery.
- Deliver Packages: Safely and accurately deliver mail to residential and business customers along assigned routes.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, answer inquiries, and handle complaints with a positive attitude.
- Vehicle Operation: Operate delivery vehicles, including vans and trucks, following all safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Physical Tasks: Lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs and stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Mail Handling: Maintain accurate records of mail and packages, including proof of delivery.
- Route Management: Plan delivery routes efficiently to maximize productivity and ensure on-time delivery.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: A valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
- High School Diploma: A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects, walk long distances, and perform physical labor in all weather conditions.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to read and write clearly.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to pay close attention to detail to ensure accuracy in sorting and delivery.
