Responsibilities
- Sort and Process Mail: Efficiently sort incoming and outgoing mail and packages to ensure accurate distribution.
- Delivery Operations: Safely deliver mail and parcels to residential and business addresses along assigned routes, adhering to time schedules.
- Customer Interaction: Provide exceptional customer service by answering inquiries, resolving delivery issues, and obtaining signatures for important packages.
- Route Management: Utilize GPS and mapping tools to plan the most efficient delivery routes and manage time effectively.
- Asset Care: Maintain the cleanliness and proper functioning of delivery vehicles and sorting equipment.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies to ensure a secure working environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: A current and valid state driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift packages weighing up to 70 pounds repeatedly and stand for extended periods throughout the day.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse customer base.
- Reliability: Proven track record of punctuality and dependability in previous employment.
- Basic Computer Literacy: Comfortable using handheld scanners, tablets, and basic computer software for logging deliveries.
- Residency: Must be a legal resident or citizen of the United States.
