Responsibilities
- Develop and implement statewide public health programs and policies
- Analyze health data trends to identify emerging community health needs
- Coordinate with federal agencies (CDC, CMS) and local health departments
- Manage budgets and resources for health initiatives
- Oversee compliance with HIPAA, ACA, and state health regulations
- Lead crisis response teams during public health emergencies
- Train and supervise public health staff and volunteers
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years experience in government/public health administration
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or equivalent credential
- Expertise in health data analysis and program evaluation
- Strong knowledge of Tennessee state health codes and regulations
- Experience managing federal grants and budgets
- Excellent leadership and cross-departmental communication skills
