Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, loaders) for construction projects
- Perform manual labor including digging, grading, and paving
- Install/maintain public utilities (water lines, drainage systems)
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Assist in emergency response during severe weather events
- Conduct routine inspections of public infrastructure
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
Qualifications
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Experience with heavy machinery operation preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction safety standards
