Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily operations of state agency programs.
- Prepare and analyze reports to inform policy decisions for the state legislature.
- Communicate effectively with federal and local government officials and the public.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and guidelines.
- Conduct research on current trends in public administration to improve service delivery.
- Mentor junior staff and coordinate project timelines.
- Represent the department at community meetings and public hearings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in government or public sector administration.
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to pass a background investigation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and government database systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License is preferred.
