Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and other security screening equipment to detect prohibited items in carry-on and checked baggage.
- Conduct thorough passenger screening, including physical pat-downs and metal detector operations.
- Assist travelers with questions regarding security procedures and baggage policies in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain a high level of vigilance and situational awareness to ensure the safety of all passengers and employees.
- Document all screening activities and report any security anomalies or suspicious behavior immediately.
- Adhere to all TSA regulations, policies, and standard operating procedures at all times.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national.
- Must be willing to submit to and pass a federal background investigation and drug screen.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overnight hours.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
