As a City Carrier Associate, you will be responsible for delivering mail and packages to customers along an established route. This is a physically demanding role that requires stamina and a positive attitude toward customer service.
Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and parcels to residential and business customers along an assigned route in a timely and efficient manner.
- Sort and organize incoming mail before beginning the delivery route.
- Collect and process outgoing mail, including postcards, flats, and packages.
- Maintain the safety and security of the mail on the vehicle and on the route.
- Interact professionally with customers, answering inquiries and resolving issues when necessary.
- Perform vehicle inspections and maintenance checks before and after routes.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have permanent resident status.
- Valid driver’s license required with no more than two moving violations in the past three years.
- Ability to lift, lower, carry, push, and pull packages weighing up to 70 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must pass a criminal background check and a drug screening.
