Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and parcels to customers along an assigned route in all types of weather conditions.
- Sort and process incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail efficiently.
- Interact professionally with customers to answer inquiries and resolve service issues.
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the mail vehicle and work area.
- Verify addresses and report any service issues to the supervisor.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support postal operations.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or a lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder).
- Valid driver's license (CDL is preferred but not mandatory for all City Carrier positions).
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 70 lbs repeatedly.
- Excellent physical stamina and the ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to read maps and route information.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
