Responsibilities
- Deliver mail to residential and business customers along an assigned route in a safe and efficient manner.
- Sort and process incoming mail and packages before delivery to ensure accuracy.
- Collect and process outgoing mail from collection boxes and customers.
- Utilize automated postal equipment and handheld delivery devices.
- Interact professionally with customers to answer questions and resolve complaints.
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the delivery vehicle and mail cart.
- Adhere to all USPS safety policies and procedures at all times.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Must possess a valid driver's license (CDL not required for City Carrier).
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and drive for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
