Responsibilities
- Sort and Process: Efficiently sort and process incoming and outgoing mail to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
- Delivery Duties: Deliver mail and packages to residential and business addresses along designated routes, including some walking or driving.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, answer inquiries, and handle any package claims or exceptions.
- Vehicle Operation: Safely operate USPS delivery vehicles and perform basic vehicle maintenance checks.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all postal regulations, safety protocols, and security requirements.
- Physical Handling: Lift and carry packages weighing up to 70 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
Qualifications
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Driving Record: Valid driver's license with a good driving record (for delivery roles).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Residency: Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (or hold a valid work authorization).
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow complex routing instructions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills for interacting with the public.
