Responsibilities
- Deliver Mail & Packages: Safely and efficiently sort and deliver mail along a designated route, ensuring every item is placed in the correct mailbox or address.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, answer inquiries, and handle packages with care and integrity.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance on assigned vehicles to ensure safe operation.
- Mail Sorting: Sort incoming mail and parcels at the distribution center before the start of the delivery shift.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of deliveries and report any lost or damaged items immediately.
- Route Navigation: Navigate efficiently through various neighborhoods in San Jose using provided mapping tools.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: Must possess a valid state driver's license (Class C) and a good driving record.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift packages up to 70 lbs and walk/stand for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- US Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the United States.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
