Responsibilities
- Process and adjudicate veterans' disability compensation claims with accuracy and timeliness
- Provide expert guidance on VA benefits programs including healthcare, education, and housing
- Collaborate with veterans and their families to develop personalized benefit plans
- Maintain detailed case documentation and ensure compliance with federal regulations
- Conduct outreach to connect underserved veterans with available resources
- Analyze complex eligibility criteria and resolve benefit-related inquiries
- Participate in continuous training on policy updates and procedural changes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Social Work, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in benefits administration or veteran services
- Proficiency with federal regulations (38 CFR) and VA benefit programs
- Exceptional communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex eligibility criteria
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background check
