Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize network infrastructure supporting VA healthcare facilities
- Implement cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive veteran data
- Provide technical support for electronic health record systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT modernization projects
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Document IT procedures and maintain compliance with federal standards
- Train staff on new technologies and security protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years of experience in IT systems administration
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Proficiency in Windows Server and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Knowledge of HIPAA and federal IT security standards
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience with VA VistA systems preferred
- CompTIA Security+ certification required
