Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure healthcare IT systems
- Provide Tier 3 technical support for electronic health records (EHR)
- Coordinate disaster recovery and business continuity protocols
- Lead system integration projects across clinical departments
- Ensure compliance with VA IT security policies and federal regulations
- Train staff on new technology implementations
- Monitor system performance and optimize network infrastructure
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years experience in healthcare IT systems
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Expertise in Epic EHR or similar healthcare platforms
- Familiarity with HIPAA and HITECH regulations
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification
- Experience with federal IT procurement processes
