Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain electronic health records systems (VistA) ensuring HIPAA compliance
- Provide technical support for VA network infrastructure and cybersecurity protocols
- Implement and troubleshoot hardware/software solutions across 50+ clinical departments
- Collaborate with clinical teams to optimize technology workflows
- Document system changes and maintain compliance with federal IT standards
- Lead disaster recovery planning and testing initiatives
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required (federal position)
- GS-9 level: 1 year specialized experience OR Master's degree in IT field
- GS-12 level: 1 year specialized experience at GS-11 level
- CompTIA Security+ certification (within 6 months of hire)
- Experience with federal IT security frameworks (NIST, FISMA)
- Ability to obtain and maintain VA background clearance
- Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows Server and Active Directory
