Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain electronic health record (EHR) systems and clinical applications
- Provide Tier 3 technical support for VA network infrastructure and security protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to implement technology solutions
- Ensure compliance with federal IT security standards (NIST, FISMA)
- Document system configurations and troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Participate in system upgrades and disaster recovery planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare IT systems
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification
- Experience with VA VistA or Epic EHR systems preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
