Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to veterans across diverse clinical settings
- Administer medications, treatments, and diagnostic procedures per established protocols
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans with interdisciplinary teams
- Document clinical observations and patient outcomes in electronic health records
- Educate veterans and families on health maintenance and disease prevention
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice projects
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted U.S. Registered Nurse license
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience
- BLS certification and VA-specific training upon hire
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Ability to obtain and maintain VA security clearance
- Strong communication skills and cultural competency
