Responsibilities
- Assist veterans with benefits claims, healthcare enrollment, and service-related compensation
- Coordinate with VA medical centers and community partners for veteran support services
- Maintain accurate case records and documentation in VA systems
- Conduct outreach programs to connect eligible veterans with resources
- Process weekly compensation payments and resolve payment discrepancies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address complex veteran needs
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Minimum 2 years experience in veteran services or social work
- Proficiency in VA benefits systems (e.g., VBMS, VBA)
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Valid Florida driver's license for outreach duties
- Clear background investigation and fingerprinting
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
