Responsibilities
- Manage and process veterans' benefits claims with precision and empathy
- Conduct comprehensive eligibility assessments for healthcare, education, and disability benefits
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and community partners to coordinate veteran services
- Maintain detailed case records and ensure compliance with federal regulations (38 CFR)
- Provide clear guidance to veterans and their families regarding benefits and resources
- Analyze trends in claims data to improve service delivery efficiency
- Participate in outreach programs to connect underserved veterans with available benefits
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Social Work, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in benefits administration or veteran services
- Proficiency with VA systems (VBMS, VBA) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of federal veterans' benefits programs (GI Bill, Voc Rehab, etc.)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background investigation
- Valid Texas driver's license (for occasional travel to facilities)
