Responsibilities
- Manage veteran benefit applications and claims processing with 98% accuracy
- Conduct comprehensive needs assessments for veterans and their families
- Coordinate with VA medical centers and community partners for integrated care
- Develop personalized service plans addressing housing, employment, and healthcare needs
- Maintain confidential case records in VA's electronic systems (VBA/VHA)
- Provide crisis intervention for urgent veteran situations
- Conduct outreach programs to connect veterans with available resources
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years case management experience with veteran populations
- Proficiency in VA systems (VBMS, VETS) and federal regulations
- Valid North Carolina driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to obtain and maintain VA security clearance
- Experience with crisis intervention and trauma-informed care
- Certification in Veterans Service preferred (e.g., VSRP)
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
