Responsibilities
- Process and adjudicate complex veterans' disability compensation claims with precision and empathy
- Conduct thorough interviews and medical evidence reviews to determine benefit eligibility
- Provide expert guidance to veterans and their families regarding federal benefits programs
- Maintain accurate case documentation in VA systems while adhering to strict compliance standards
- Collaborate with medical professionals and legal teams to resolve intricate benefit appeals
- Develop and deliver outreach programs to connect veterans with available resources
- Participate in continuous training to stay current on VA regulations and policy updates
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a federal security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in benefits administration, case management, or customer service
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and case management software
- Demonstrated ability to interpret complex federal regulations and policies
- Exceptional communication skills with experience in high-stakes customer interactions
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of veterans' affairs systems and benefits programs preferred
