Responsibilities
- Process and adjudicate veterans' disability compensation claims with 99% accuracy
- Conduct comprehensive benefits eligibility assessments for veterans and dependents
- Maintain detailed case files and documentation in VA systems
- Provide clear guidance on complex VA regulations and appeal processes
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to support veterans' holistic needs
- Represent the VA at community outreach events to educate veterans
- Ensure compliance with all federal privacy laws (HIPAA, Privacy Act)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Social Work, or related field
- Minimum 2 years experience in veterans services or federal claims processing
- VA-accredited agent or attorney certification preferred
- Proficiency in VA systems (VBMS, VBA) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional communication skills for veteran interactions
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and empathy
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background check
