Responsibilities
- Oversee EHR system implementation and optimization for veteran healthcare facilities
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and cybersecurity protocols across all health IT systems

- Manage vendor relationships for health IT software and hardware acquisitions
- Lead system integration projects connecting VA facilities nationwide
- Conduct regular IT infrastructure audits and vulnerability assessments
- Train staff on new health information technologies and workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare IT systems implementation
- VHA or federal healthcare IT certification preferred
- Expertise in HIPAA compliance and healthcare data security standards
- Proficiency with EHR systems (e.g., Cerner, Epic) and HL7 interfaces
- Strong project management skills with PMP certification a plus
- Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust security clearance
