Responsibilities
- Oversee electronic health record (EHR) systems implementation and optimization for 10,000+ veteran records
- Lead HIPAA-compliant data security protocols and cybersecurity risk assessments
- Coordinate with VA IT teams on telehealth platform integrations
- Train clinical staff on health information systems and digital tools
- Manage vendor relationships for health IT software and infrastructure
- Develop data analytics dashboards for veteran care quality metrics
- Ensure compliance with federal health IT regulations (21 CFR Part 11)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience with EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, or VA-specific)
- VA IT Fundamentals Certification (VITF) or equivalent DoD/VA certification
- Expertise in healthcare data privacy regulations (HIPAA, HITECH)
- Experience with federal IT acquisition processes (FAR Part 7)
- Project management certification (PMP or CompTIA Project+)
- Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance
