Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize electronic health record (EHR) systems for 1.2M+ veteran patients
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives for VA healthcare data infrastructure
- Coordinate IT implementation projects across 5 NYC-based VA facilities
- Train healthcare staff on clinical IT systems and compliance protocols
- Collaborate with federal IT teams on nationwide health technology modernization
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and FISMA security standards adherence
- Support telehealth expansion initiatives for veteran care access
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, or related field
- 3+ years experience with EHR systems (e.g., Cerner, Epic)
- Federal IT security certification (e.g., CISSP, CompTIA Security+)
- Knowledge of HIPAA/HITECH and healthcare IT regulations
- Experience with federal procurement processes and ITIL frameworks
- Active U.S. security clearance or ability to obtain one
- Demonstrated project management skills in healthcare IT environments
