Responsibilities
- Oversee implementation of electronic health record (EHR) systems in VA medical facilities
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and cybersecurity protocols for veteran health data
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing health IT solutions
- Analyze system performance metrics to optimize clinical workflows
- Train healthcare staff on new health information technologies
- Collaborate with federal partners on nationwide health IT initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare IT systems implementation
- Federal security clearance eligibility (or ability to obtain)
- Certification in Health Information Technology (e.g., CPHIMS, CHPS)
- Expertise in VA-specific systems (VistA, Cerner) preferred
- Demonstrated project management skills with PMP or similar certification
- Strong analytical skills with experience in healthcare data analytics
